Preserving Data Journalism: A Systematic Literature Review

News organisations have longstanding practices for archiving and preserving their content. The emerging practice of data journalism has led to the creation complex new outputs, including dynamic visualisations that rely on distributed digital infrastructures. Traditional news does not yet systems in place these which means we risk losing this crucial part reporting history. Following a systematic approach studying literature area, paper provides set recommendations address lacunae literature. This contributes field by (1) providing study fields, (2) adoption long-term preservation as publication workflow, (3) identifying concrete actions journalists can take immediately ensure are lost.
